American Board of Professional Neuropsychology

Diversity Committee

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are important values for the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN). ABN respects and values differences that include attributes such as age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and gender diversity.

The ABN Diversity Committee’s mission statement is to:

Advocate, recruit, and retain diverse providers who demonstrate competency in the practice of professional neuropsychology as evidenced through the ABN Board Certification process.

To attain its mission statement, the ABN Diversity Committee’s shared goals are to:

  1. Ensure that the ABN Board enables all members to feel empowered, valued, respected, and safe.
  2. Promote ideas and events to further the spirit of diversity and inclusion.
  3. Develop policies and practices to advocate, recruit, and retain board-certified neuropsychologists with diverse attributes and experiences.

The ABN Diversity Committee will continuously evolve and be open to new ideas and exchanges in the spirit of ensuring that all ABN staff and members know that their differences and similarities alike are celebrated and appreciated. ABN recognizes that the responsibility for excellence, diversity, and inclusion lies with all of us.
