Those Applicants successfully completing the Application screening process, passing the Written Examination and Work Samples may then schedule the Oral Examination. The oral examination is the final step towards board certification with the ABN and is administered by two trained ABN examiners in the areas of (1) work style and (2) ethics and professional standards. The purpose of the oral examination is to critically evaluate the candidate’s current knowledge base and ability to conceptualize cases and apply ethical principles. The applicant is strongly encouraged to contact the Oral Examination Coordinator (contact links here) to obtain information about scheduling the oral exam. For additional information, see the Applicant Handbook.
